Description

DevOps Engineer London | Up to £80,000 + benefits Onsite 5 days per week We’re partnering with a data‑driven technology company in central London who are hiring their first dedicated DevOps Engineer. This is a highly visible role where you’ll take ownership of AWS infrastructure and CI/CD, working closely with a strong engineering team to support a growing platform. This is a great opportunity for a DevOps Engineer who enjoys ownership, influence, and building strong relationships with developers, rather than operating in a silo. As the sole DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, reliability, security, and scalability of the platform. You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with software engineers, helping establish best practices while modernising infrastructure and deployment workflows. The company is particularly interested in engineers who are curious about AI‑assisted tooling and actively adopt new ways of working to improve productivity, reliability, and decision‑making. Key Responsibilities: Designing and maintaining scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM)Owning and improving CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)Managing infrastructure as code using TerraformSupporting and optimising PostgreSQL and data storage servicesDriving cost monitoring and optimisation across AWSEmbedding security and GDPR‑aligned best practices into the platformWorking closely with engineers to improve deployment, observability, and reliabilityExploring and adopting AI‑powered tools to improve DevOps workflows Essential Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps / Platform / SRE roleStrong hands‑on AWS experienceSolid CI/CD and Infrastructure‑as‑Code background (Terraform)Docker and containerisation experienceConfident communicator who enjoys collaborating with developers Desireables: Experience with monitoring and logging toolsScripting in Python or BashExposure to GDPR or regulated environmentsExperience acting as the “go‑to” DevOps engineer in a small team To be considered, please respond with your latest CV.
