Project Lead Developer

About the Role We are looking for a Project Lead to lead and develop a multidisciplinary software engineering team. This role is focused primarily on people leadership, team performance, delivery management, and stakeholder collaboration. While a strong technical background is important, the successful candidate will spend most of their time coaching engineers, managing priorities, improving collaboration, and driving a culture of ownership and accountability. You will lead a team of approximately 8-9 software professionals, including front-end, back-end, full-stack, and nearshore developers. You will work closely with Product Management and other business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions while maintaining high engineering standards. The position reports directly to the Head of Development and works alongside other Team Leads within the department. Stakeholder Management Work closely with Product Management and business stakeholders.Translate business requirements into actionable development goals.Communicate priorities, risks, and progress effectively. Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and support to the development team.Participate in architecture discussions and technical reviews.Support software quality and engineering best practices.Review development processes and delivery standards.Contribute to technical decision-making when required. Preferred Experience leading distributed or nearshore teams.Experience with Azure-based environments.Python development knowledge.Experience with IoT, telematics, fleet management, or connected products.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
