Platform Engineer - Digital Asset Platform Integration

Job Description The financial ecosystem is rapidly evolving with the rise of Digital Assets, APIs, and distributed platforms. At Euroclear, we are building a next-generation Digital Asset Platform that enables seamless connectivity across internal systems, clients, and third-party providers. The Innovation Tribe is leading this transformation by delivering scalable, secure, and interoperable platforms that power future financial services. We are looking for a Platform Engineer who will play a key role in integrating third-party solutions and services into our Digital Asset Platform. You will help bridge internal systems with external ecosystems, ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable integrations that accelerate innovation and delivery. This is a hands-on role combining engineering, platform thinking, and integration expertise, with real impact on how our platform connects to the outside world. Summary As a Platform Engineer, you will focus on building and enabling integrations between the Digital Asset Platform and third-party solutions (e.g. fintechs, market infrastructures, data providers, or SaaS platforms). You will work closely with platform architects, solution architects, and engineering teams to implement reusable integration patterns, ensure compliance with platform standards, and contribute to a robust and scalable ecosystem. Your mission is to make integrations simple, reliable, secure, and reusable, enabling faster onboarding of partners and capabilities. Key Responsibilities 3rd Party Integration Delivery Design, build, and maintain integrations between the Digital Asset Platform and external systems using APIs, messaging, and event-driven patterns. Platform Enablement & Connectivity Implement reusable integration components (connectors, APIs, adapters) to accelerate onboarding of new partners and solutions. Apply Platform Standards & Patterns Ensure all integrations follow the platform architecture principles, standards, and “golden paths” defined by the Platform Architect. API & Event-Driven Development Develop and maintain APIs, event streams, and integration services ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Security & Compliance Implementation Embed security controls (authentication, authorization, encryption) and ensure integrations comply with CISO and platform requirements. Collaboration with Engineering & Architects Work closely with Solution Architects and Platform Architects to translate high-level designs into robust implementations. Testing & Quality Assurance Ensure integrations are fully tested (functional, performance, security) and meet Definition of Done and SDLC requirements. Operational Readiness & Support Ensure integrations are production-ready, observable, and maintainable, contributing to monitoring and incident resolution. Continuous Improvement & Automation Improve integration processes by leveraging automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices. Technology Watch & Innovation Explore new integration technologies, protocols, and tools to continuously enhance platform capabilities. Must Have Strong experience in software engineering with focus on integration and APIs Solid knowledge of API design (REST, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures (Kafka, messaging systems) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC) Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems Experience integrating third-party solutions, SaaS, or external services Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, API security, encryption, identity management) Ability to work with platform standards and architectural guidelines Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to debug complex integration issues Nice to Have Experience with Digital Assets / DLT / blockchain platforms Familiarity with financial services or market infrastructure Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or integration platforms Exposure to DevSecOps and platform engineering practices You Are A hands-on engineer who enjoys turning architecture into real, working solutions Passionate about integration, APIs, and connecting systems together A team player and collaborator, working across internal and external stakeholders Curious and eager to explore new technologies and integration patterns Pragmatic and solution-oriented, able to simplify complex integration challenges Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving innovation environment Motivated to contribute to building a future-proof Digital Asset ecosystem About Us Why join us Embark on your new adventure at Euroclear, and work at the heart of the global capital markets.
