Engagement: Contract, full time
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help a major Perth-based resources company build the internal platform that powers its engineering teams.
You will get real hands on time with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, building the golden paths and guardrails that let engineering squads ship products safely and fast, across cloud, OT, and edge environments.

The Project
This engagement sits inside a Tier 1 resources business's platform team, which runs the platform as an internal product.
The team builds reusable capabilities, automation, and guardrails so engineering squads can deliver independently and safely, rather than reinventing infrastructure project by project.
You will own defined platform components, working closely with senior engineers on design and delivery, and partnering across engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, and operations.
What You Will Do
Build and maintain internal platform capabilities that speed up delivery and cut cognitive load for engineering teamsDeploy, operate, and troubleshoot workloads on Kubernetes, OpenShift, or managed Kubernetes across cloud, OT, and edge environmentsBuild and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions, and automate provisioning and deployment using TerraformImplement observability across platform capabilities, including metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboardsCreate runbooks, operational documentation, and reusable templates that help teams self servePartner with networking, security, and infrastructure teams to keep the platform secure, compliant, and supportable
What We Are Looking For
Hands on experience building or operating platform capabilities in a DevOps, SRE, cloud, or platform engineering rolePractical experience deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes, OpenShift, or managed KubernetesAWS experience with cloud native services, and an awareness of networking, security, and cost trade offsInfrastructure as Code experience, Terraform preferredCI/CD experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions, or comparable toolingCoding ability in Python, TypeScript, Bash, or GoLinux administration and troubleshooting across RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar distributions
Desirable Background
Experience with developer portals, service catalogues, or internal developer platform toolingExposure to OT, edge, or network segregated environmentsFamiliarity with AI/ML workloads, data intensive applications, or research engineering workflowsExposure to policy as code, platform governance, or FinOps practicesFamiliarity with DORA, SPACE, or other developer productivity measures
