At International NGO Safety Organisation, we're looking for a Software Engineer to help shape the future of the INSO Portal - the digital platform connecting humanitarian organisations with the information and services they rely on every day.

๐ Build - Design and develop secure, reliable, user-focused features across both backend and frontend.
๐ฏ Own - Take responsibility for your work - from architecture and design to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
๐ค Collaborate - Work alongside engineers, product colleagues, and operational teams to solve real-world challenges.
๐ก Improve - Help shape engineering standards, architecture, and best practices as the platform continues to evolve.
Who we're looking for
You're an engineer who knows how to build software that lasts.
You care about clean architecture, maintainable code, and creating products that people genuinely enjoy using.
You solve problems, ask questions, and think about the people behind every feature.

Essential
โ 3+ years of professional software development experience
โ Strong Java skills (Spring ecosystem)
โ Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
โ Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
โ Understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
โ Strong object-oriented programming and software design principles
โ Excellent problem-solving skills
โ Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have
โ Redis or caching technologies
โ Docker and/or Kubernetes
โ Product thinking and UX mindset
โ Passion for security, data integrity, and scalable systems
