Senior Python Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with our client’s internal squads to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud-based media solutions. This is a collaborative, embedded role requiring a self-starter who excels at solving complex workflow challenges, designing resilient integrations, and driving efficiency. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Python and DjangoBuild and optimize media processing workflows, ensuring seamless handling of ingest, transcoding, packaging, and distributionArchitect and manage cloud services on AWS, ensuring high performance, security, and scalabilityDesign and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQLWork hand-in-hand with distributed client engineering squads, actively participating in stand-ups, architecture reviews, and collaborative problem-solvingProactively identify performance bottlenecks and workflow challenges, implementing automation to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads Requirements Advanced, production-level experience building backend applicationsStrong hands-on experience leveraging AWS cloud infrastructure for application deployment and data storageSolid experience with relational database design, query optimization, and performance tuningSolid, demonstrable experience working within media environments.
