Key Responsibilities (by Workload) API Design & Application Development (30%) Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs and enterprise applications using modern Java technologies. Responsibilities Include: Design REST APIs, endpoints, request/response models, authentication, and error handling.Develop scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring Integration.Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions.Produce technical design specifications and implementation documentation.Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable application components.Write clean, secure, and production-quality code following industry best practices.Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. Enterprise Integration & Event-Driven Solutions (30%) Develop robust enterprise integration solutions supporting distributed systems and cloud-native applications. Responsibilities Include: Design and implement integration solutions using Spring Integration.Develop messaging solutions utilizing Azure Service Bus and event-driven architecture.Implement asynchronous processing and multi-threaded application designs.Transform and route enterprise data between systems using JSON, XML, and CSV.Apply mapping, normalization, and integration patterns across enterprise services.Integrate enterprise applications using JMS, REST, AMQP, and related technologies. Cloud, Middleware & Platform Development (25%) Develop and support cloud-native, containerized enterprise applications. Responsibilities Include: Build scalable microservices utilizing Azure cloud services.Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.Deploy applications using OpenShift and cloud-native technologies.Support enterprise middleware and messaging platforms.Implement monitoring, logging, and operational visibility using enterprise monitoring tools.Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Security, Production Support & Operations (10%) Ensure enterprise applications meet security, operational, and compliance standards. Responsibilities Include: Implement OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and SAML authentication.Apply secure coding standards and OWASP best practices.Troubleshoot production issues and provide operational support.Participate in on-call production support, including weekends when required.Perform performance tuning, debugging, regression fixes, and continuous improvements.Support deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
