About The Job At Tether, we're building Hadron, the enterprise tokenization platform powering the next generation of tokenized assets, stablecoins, securities, funds, commodities, and real-world assets (RWAs). Hadron enables financial institutions, asset managers, exchanges, governments, and enterprises to issue, manage, and operate regulated digital assets across multiple blockchain networks while integrating compliance, permissions, and operational workflows. We're looking for a Senior Software Architect to help build the core infrastructure behind Hadron. You will work on tokenization engines, blockchain integrations, permissions frameworks, issuance workflows, compliance tooling, and enterprise APIs used by institutional clients worldwide. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges at the intersection of blockchain, financial infrastructure, and enterprise software. Responsibilities Tokenization Platform Development Design, build, and maintain the backend services powering Hadron's tokenization platformDevelop APIs supporting asset issuance, lifecycle management, corporate actions, and token operationsBuild scalable infrastructure for institutional-grade tokenization workflowsContribute to the evolution of Hadron's architecture and core platform capabilities Blockchain Infrastructure Build integrations with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, and other supported blockchain networksDevelop services handling token minting, burning, transfers, permissions, and administrative operationsImprove blockchain transaction orchestration, signing workflows, and operational reliabilityContribute to smart contract integrations and blockchain infrastructure Enterprise Infrastructure Build systems supporting role-based permissions, multi-signature approvals, auditability, and operational controlsDevelop integrations with custody providers, identity providers, and compliance servicesImprove scalability, observability, monitoring, and platform reliabilitySupport deployment automation and operational tooling Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Solutions teamsTranslate institutional client requirements into scalable platform capabilitiesParticipate in architecture reviews and technical planningContribute to documentation and engineering best practices Core Skills 5+ years of backend software engineering experienceStrong expertise in Node.js (primary technology stack)Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed backend systemsStrong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and asynchronous systemsExperience with relational and NoSQL databasesStrong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent English communication skills Blockchain & Digital Assets Experience building blockchain-based applications or infrastructureStrong understanding of Ethereum and EVM ecosystemsExperience interacting with smart contracts and blockchain transaction workflowsUnderstanding of wallet architecture, signing flows, and digital asset infrastructureFamiliarity with token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155 or security token standards Nice to Have Experience with tokenization platforms or issuance infrastructureFamiliarity with token standards such as ERC-1400, transfer restrictions, permissions models, and whitelist frameworksExperience with institutional digital assets, custody providers, or regulated financial infrastructureExperience integrating KYC/AML providers and compliance workflowsFamiliarity with capital markets, securities, funds, stablecoins, or real-world asset tokenizationExperience working in remote-first engineering organizations.
