Summary

We are seeking a hands-on senior cloud and DevOps engineer to join our platform engineering team. You will help secure, support, and improve the cloud environment behind mission-critical financial services applications. You will work across cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, cloud security, networking, and identity—partnering with application, security, network, and platform teams to improve reliability and close security gaps. Responsibilities include building and supporting cloud infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure with Terraform, identifying and remediating security gaps, configuring networking components, and managing access controls. Requires 7+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated hands-on cloud production experience.

Description

Role: We are looking for a hands-on senior Azure Cloud & DevOps engineer to join the Platform Engineering team.In this role, you will help secure, support and improve the Azure environment behind mission-critical financial-services applications used across Australia and New Zealand.You will work across Azure infrastructure, DevOps automation, cloud security, networking and identity—partnering with application, security, network and platform teams to improve reliability and close security gaps. Responsibilities: Build, configure and support MS Azure infrastructure and services.Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to deliver safer and more consistent deployments.Use Terraform to automate infrastructure and maintain standardised environments.Identify cloud security gaps and implement practical remediation.Configure and troubleshoot Azure VNets, subnets, network security groups and firewall rules.Manage access controls using MS Entra ID, RBAC, service principals and managed identities. Required Skills: 7+ years of relevant cloud, infrastructure, platform or DevOps engineering experience.Demonstrated recent hands-on experience with MS Azure in production environments.Practical experience building, maintaining or improving CI/CD pipelines.Production experience using Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool.Experience implementing cloud security controls or remediating cloud vulnerabilities.Practical knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs and firewall rules.Experience using MS Entra ID and Azure access controls.Experience supporting production cloud environments and resolving technical incidents.
