Cloud platform certifications are preferred. About The Role (your Why) As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you’ll manage and support customer Azure environments, helping drive cloud transformation and optimisation. In this flexible, customer-facing role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, promote automation and DevOps/DevSecOps practices, ensure secure and efficient environments, bridge application and support teams, and enable customers through modern ways of working. This is an operational role and involves onsite support and an on-call roster for afterhours support. This role will be located in Auckland. What You’ll Do At the moment, as Azure Cloud Engineer you will be focused on: Be a trusted advisor for all things CloudLead and inspire our customers on the benefits of cloud technology, automation, and enabling a DevOps/DevSecOps cultureEnsure our customers cloud environments remain secure and optimisedAct as the bridge between application technologies and customer support teamsProvide enablement and guidance We are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs. What You’ll Bring Passionate about cloud transformation, automation and solving customer challenges.Strong communication and collaboration skills and understand the business benefits and of cloud technologies. Ability to take ownership of issues and work with the team to find resolutions.Ideally you would hold certifications in Azure (AZ400, AZ104, AZ204, AZ500).Experience in designing, building, deploying, and supporting Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), including but not limited to:CI/CD pipeline builds and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, Powershell etc.Familiarity with hybrid and multi cloud design e.g. multi-region/zone, scalable, resilient, secureTenancy, Account Structure, Landing Zone, Policy, Tagging and Cost ControlsVMs, Azure Functions/Serverless, Storage, Backup, OS and database configuration and hardening etc.Network and security incl. IAM, SecGroup, VPC/VNet, NLB, WAF, DNS etc.Monitoring, logging and alerting tools and configurationCloud native and digital solutioning leveraging emerging technologies incl. containers, serverless, data, ML and AI, IoT, API, Micro-services etcStrong knowledge of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure App Services and Azure Security Why join us here at Datacom?
