Our Trading Ecosystem department would like to welcome a detail-oriented. Senior Backend Developer in our office in Amman Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and business logic using Python and the Odoo framework.Customize, extend, and optimize Odoo modules to support business workflows .Integrate Odoo with internal systems and third-party services through APIs, webhooks, and message-based interfaces.Participate in system and solution design discussions, proposing scalable and maintainable architectures.Ensure code quality through best practices, automated testing, and proper documentation.Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and deliver fixes in a timely and reliable manner.Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.Contribute to performance optimization, database tuning, and overall system improvements.Support deployment processes and CI/CD pipelines for backend services.(Preferred) Assist in backend development using .NET for services or components that require it.Skills & Competencies Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in Odoo development (custom modules, ORM, workflows, security rules).Solid understanding of Odoo architecture, including models, views, reports, server actions, and enterprise/community edition differences.Excellent knowledge of RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and asynchronous operations.Strong understanding of SQL, relational database design, and performance optimization (PostgreSQL preferred).Good knowledge of software engineering principles such as OOP, SOLID, clean architecture, and design patterns.Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps workflows.Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to understand complex systems and propose practical solutions.Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.(Optional but advantageous) Experience with .NET / C# for microservices or backend components. Experience Requirements 5+ years of professional backend development experience.3+ years working with Python, including at least 2 years of Odoo development (customizations, integrations, module development).Proven experience in building and integrating backend services in production environments.Experience working in agile teams and delivering features end-to-end.Hands-on involvement in debugging, performance tuning, and scaling backend applications.(Preferred) Practical exposure to .NET backend development (.NET 6+, C#).Background in fintech, ERP, or high-transaction environments is a plus.
