Full Stack Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack Engineer Job Type: Permanent (On-Site) Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale a data-driven technology platform. Working closely with engineering, data, product and machine-learning colleagues, you will develop the back-end services, APIs, data workflows and customer-facing functionality that support the organisation’s forecasting product. Cloud experience will be beneficial, but the primary focus of the role is full-stack software engineering and product delivery. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.Build modern web applications and contribute across the full technology stack.Develop and improve cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and engineering tooling.Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver new features and enhancements.Build reliable, secure, and maintainable applications capable of supporting a growing customer base.Optimise application performance, scalability, and system reliability.Contribute to technical architecture decisions and continuously improve engineering best practices.Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration and deployment activities. Requirements Commercial experience developing full stack applications using Python, with exposure to Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript considered an advantage.Strong understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, and modern web application architecture.Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), AWS, or Azure, alongside relational databases and scalable application design.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and version control within production environments.Ability to design, build, deploy, and support reliable software solutions, balancing technical quality with business priorities.Experience contributing across both frontend and backend technologies, with a willingness to work wherever adds the greatest value.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside cross-functional engineering, product, or data teams.Exposure to Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, observability, authentication, MLOps, or modern software engineering practices would be beneficial.Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or product-focused technology environment is advantageous, but not essential.
