This position is located in Bucharest, Romania.
Environment:
Cloud DevOps team (Eagle) managing multiple projects on GCP and AWS cloud platform
for several applications and services (some not-cloud-native and resulting from lift & shift
Technologies:
GCP (GKE, VM, Cloud Run, IAM, VPC, Load Balancing, DNS, Secret Manager, Filestore),
AWS (EC2, Aurora, RDS, S3, AWS Backup, Lambda Functions, Log Explorer), Terraform,
GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux, Datadog
Languages:
English, German is a plus
General Tasks:
-Build, operate and further develop the product team (or sometimes App responsible)-
owned infrastructure on GCP or AWS
-Manage infrastructure for several applications, together with external app teams
-Management and improvement of shared Kubernetes cluster in GKE, which hosts apps
for multiple tenants
-Maintain and improve infrastructure with Terraform (using centrally managed modules
and pipelines)
-Building and Operating CI/CD Pipelines for Applications (GitLab CI/CD)
-Management of Kubernetes resources (e.g.
Deployments, RBAC, Ingress, etc.) and
Helm releases with Flux and Kustomize
-Integration and use of core platform components (e.g., Logging, Secrets, IAM, VPC,
DNS)
-Application of secure defaults (IAM, secrets, network, TLS, policies)
-Support in day-to-day operations (e.g.
incident response, infrastructure maintenance,
performance and costs analysis)
-Collaborate with the centralized platform team (e.g., to use shared Terraform modules
and policies)
Requirements
-3-5+ years of experience in Cloud DevOps environment
-In-depth knowledge of GCP (GKE, VM, CloudRun, IAM, VPC, DNS, Load Balancing,
Secret Manager) and AWS (EC2, RDS, Aurora, DNS)
-Experience using Terraform in production: modular repositories, state management,
etc.
-Solid knowledge of Kubernetes
-Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines with GitLab
-Experience with scripting languages: Bash, Python, Golang is an advantage
-Good understanding of networking
-Familiarity with Observability tools (e.g., Datadog, GCP Monitoring/Logging)
-Very good knowledge of English
Nice to have
-Experience with GitOps tools (Flux)
-Knowledge of Helm/Kustomize
-Experience with SRE practices (SLOs, SLIs, Error Budgets)
-Basic knowledge of FinOps or cost optimization
-Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks,
PolicyController)
