Job Description As a Senior Software Engineer on the Retain team, you will lead the design and operation of full-stack services that embed Flock into the daily workflows of fleet owners. You'll own critical features end-to-end, leveraging a modern AWS serverless stack to build scalable products that improve safety and profitability for hundreds of commercial vehicle fleets. What You Will Do Lead the architecture and delivery of backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance and schema reliability.Design and scale distributed systems on AWS utilizing Lambda, SQS, and EventBridge, managing infrastructure-as-code through Terraform or CDK.Collaborate with product and data teams to translate complex fleet management needs into technical scope and measurable customer-focused outcomes. The ideal candidate At least 6 years of professional software experience, including 1-2 years operating at a Senior level with full-stack TypeScript proficiency.Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production-grade serverless applications within the AWS ecosystem and managing complex PostgreSQL databases.Strong product mindset with the ability to mentor junior engineers, lead technical design discussions, and drive engineering best practices across the team.
