About The Position
You'll be part of the team focussed on the our print platform, PrintedDirect (www.printeddirect.com).
Whilst the system has been in existence and carefully maintained since 2017, and used primarily for servicing our eCommerce shops and manufacturing, it's evolving and launched officially as a service and a new brand in the group.
This is a significant step forward for the business and the team tasked with continually improving it.
As a Mid-level Full Stack PHP Developer at The Printed Group, you'll be:
Enhancing and developing the platform API, used by storefronts, manufacturers and our own internal teamsWriting clean, secure and tested codeCollaborating with team members for technical discussionsDocumenting technical aspects of new or changed APIsContinually developing your skillset and industry knowledge and sharing your learnings and experiences with the teamAn ambitious problem solver who loves building applications and extensions
Requirements
We'd like to see evidence of understanding, competence and engagement in:
Proficient in PHP and TypescriptStrong knowledge of SQL and more specifically Postgres native featuresWriting scalable code to ensure fast API response timesExperience with unit and integration testingEagerness to share your ideas and contribute to continuous improvementFront end capable in HTML, CSS (LESS/SASS)Working knowledge of Linux, preferably Ubuntu - command-line is especially valuable Ability to work to specific requirements and deadlinesHands-on and able to take on diverse tasks as part of a small teamExcellent verbal and written English language, interpersonal and communication skills - We like good friendly people!
