The Role As a Software Engineer, you'll design, develop and maintain cloud-native applications that power the organisation's core platform. Working primarily with Python and AWS, you'll build robust backend services, APIs and software solutions that integrate with a modern data platform and support critical business functionality. What You'll Be Doing Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python.Build scalable cloud-native software on AWS.Develop APIs and services that integrate across multiple systems.Work with SQL databases to design efficient data models and optimise application performance.Contribute to the evolution of the company's cloud-based platform and backend architecture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new product features.Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability and performance. What You'll Bring Commercial experience developing software using Python.Experience building applications within AWS and strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.Experience developing software that integrates with modern data platforms or large-scale backend systems.Experience building REST APIs and microservices.Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
