Overview
Responsible for learning, configuring, enhancing, integrating, and supporting the new core banking system while working closely with business users, technology teams, implementation partners, and vendors.
Over time, the role will evolve into a subject matter expert (SME) position responsible for platform stability, enhancements, issue resolution, and knowledge transfer to the broader support organization.
Responsibilities
Core Banking Platform Development & Support
Develop, configure, customize, and support Finacle or TCS BaNCS modules.Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the core banking platform.Perform system configuration, parameterization, and product setup.Support end-to-end system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, incidents, and production issues.Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on platform-related concerns.
Integration Development
Design and develop integrations between the core banking platform and peripheral banking applications.Support API, middleware, batch processing, and interface development.Participate in data migration and conversion activities.Ensure integration solutions meet security, performance, and operational requirements.
Knowledge Management & Capability Building
Acquire deep functional and technical knowledge of the new core banking solution.Document configurations, customizations, operational procedures, and support processes.
Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions to build internal support capabilities.Develop training materials and technical documentation.Mentor junior developers and future support resources.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of software development experience.At least 2 years of experience supporting, implementing, or developing either: - TCS BaNCS, or - Infosys Finacle, or - Other major Core Banking Systems (preferred).Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech environments.Experience working on system implementation, enhancement, migration, or production support projects.
