What You’ll Do Design, build, and scale backend or fullstack systems used by thousands of customersOwn features end-to-end, from problem definition through to productionWork on distributed systems where reliability, performance, and correctness matterCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teamsContribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve our systemsHelp shape engineering best practices and raise the bar across teams What We’re Looking For Strong experience as a Software Engineer in production environmentsSolid backend skills (Java, Kotlin, or similar) and/or fullstack experienceExperience building scalable, reliable systemsAbility to navigate ambiguity and contribute to problem definitionA strong sense of ownership and accountabilityClear communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have (depending on team) Experience in payroll, fintech, or regulated domainsExposure to distributed systems or event-driven architecturesExperience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)Interest or experience in AI-driven development workflows How This Role Works This is a general application for Senior Software Engineers across Personio.
