Summary

A regulated health technology organization is seeking a senior supplier quality engineer to support new product development, supplier integration, process stabilization, and product transfers. You will act as a senior technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external suppliers; lead IQ/OQ/PQ and test method validation; oversee APQP/PPAP activities; conduct supplier audits; manage quality risks and metrics; and drive targeted remediation. A bachelor's degree in engineering and deep hands-on experience in process validation, supplier qualification, manufacturing quality, and structured problem solving are required.

Description

Senior Supplier Quality Engineer In this role, you have the opportunity to make a real impact by Serving as a senior peer leader supporting New Product Development (NPD), supplier integration, and process stabilization during critical change initiatives and product transfers. You will bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external suppliers—acting as a key technical leader driving verification, validation, and quality engineering excellence to ensure we continuously deliver safe, high-quality health technology to patients worldwide. Key Responsibilities New Product Development (NPD) & Supplier Integration: Partner early with R&D and Product Engineering to ensure supplier readiness, design-for-manufacturability, and seamless part integration for new product launches.Verification & Validation (V&V): Oversee and approve supplier process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), test method validations, and qualification protocols to ensure robust manufacturing capability.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary Supplier Quality interface between internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing) and external suppliers (such as SpectraWAVE) to align on quality expectations and technical requirements.Part Qualification & Quality Controls: Lead supplier audits, review component qualification outputs (APQP/PPAP), and oversee supplier-initiated design or process changes.Risk & Metrics Governance: Build and maintain clear risk-based trackers, scorecards, and quality metrics to provide structured transparency for leadership and project teams.Targeted Remediation & Stabilization: Support targeted supplier remediation and stabilization efforts as needed during supplier transitions or major product transfers To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following skills and experience Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering strongly preferred).Deep hands-on expertise in Process Validation & Verification (V&V) (IQ/OQ/PQ) and Test Method Validation.Proven track record in New Product Development (NPD) and supplier qualification within a regulated environment.Strong core experience in Supplier Quality / Supplier Management, Product Quality, and Manufacturing processes.Advanced structured problem-solving skills (DMAIC/root cause analysis) and mastery of APQP/PPAP frameworks. Preferred & Leadership Expectations: Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills—ability to comfortably navigate multiple stakeholders and represent quality standards to both external suppliers and senior leadership.Adaptability: Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, bringing a strategic, risk-based mindset to build clear quality frameworks.Bonus: PMP Certification or strong project management background is a plus.
