Description

Role Description The DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency of software delivery and IT operations. This role bridges software development and infrastructure management by enabling continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure automation, and cloud-native solutions that support business objectives. Key responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across public, private, or hybrid cloud environments. The role provisions and manages compute, networking, storage, and security resources while optimizing cloud performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency. The position develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, automates infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and implements configuration management, deployment automation, and release management processes to improve software delivery speed and reliability. It collaborates closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline application deployment and operational workflows. The role monitors system health, application performance, infrastructure utilization, and security events using monitoring and logging platforms. It performs troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident response, capacity planning, and performance optimization to maintain highly available and resilient production environments. The position also implements cloud security controls, identity and access management, backup and disaster recovery strategies, compliance requirements, and governance policies. It contributes to architecture reviews, cloud migration initiatives, containerization, orchestration, and continuous improvement efforts while evaluating emerging cloud technologies and DevOps best practices. Qualifications Strong understanding of cloud computing, DevOps principles, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, system administration, networking, virtualization, containerization, and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. Proficiency in cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, configuration management tools, container technologies, orchestration platforms, scripting languages, version control systems, CI/CD tools, monitoring solutions, and logging platforms. Familiarity with serverless computing, microservices architecture, and GitOps practices is an advantage. Knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), networking, disaster recovery, backup strategies, compliance frameworks, cost optimization, and infrastructure governance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, optimize cloud resources, automate operational processes, and implement reliable technical solutions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, explain technical concepts clearly, and prepare infrastructure and operational documentation. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple infrastructure and deployment initiatives while maintaining high standards of security, reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
