Company - Telekin Telekin is on a mission to build Humanity's Last Machine - autonomous, self-replicating humanoids that will perform all physical labour and build us the era of abundance on Earth and in space. We begin by deploying teleoperated avatars profitably in agriculture whilst collecting the multimodal data to train physical AGI. Our founding team has repeatedly entrusted their lives to their tech, successfully built a profitable business in ag, broken 3 aviation world records, survived 2 seasons in Antarctica and possibly helped avert our species' extinction. We're looking for an elite crew of first hires to join us in defining the evolutionary trajectory of our mechanical progeny. Role - Teleoperation Software Engineer Fullstack, full throttle and fulltime, in-person at our San Francisco Bay Area HQ, your job is to build the bridge between our humanoid avatars in one continent and our teleoperators in another, making teleoperation feel as seamless as teleportation. Backend responsibilities: Build the AV and control pipelines for our humanoid avatars, minimising end to end latency across continents.Collect, catalogue, store and curate the immense quantity of multimodal motion data for future processing.Frontend responsibilities: Build the teleoperators’ HUD telemetry/GUIBuild our control panelSubsequently, you will lead the development of the following: Teleop training environmentAI copilotWhatever bits come next! Highly desirable >=5 years' relevant work experience (PhD counts)Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant fieldHands-on experience with networks, robots, VR, sensors, embedded systemsPortfolio of related passion projects, including pre-AI coding heritageTrack record building things with life or death consequencesDiscipline for maintaining accurate and clear technical documentationProblem solving initiativeTolerance to privation - sometimes, code may have to be debugged whilst underneath a tractor in a muddy field at night.US work authorizationDriving licence and own set of wheelsSense of humour and sunny disposition
