Skeleton's Supercapacitor Data Centers team is looking for a driven Senior Mechanical Engineer Cell Design with the vision to match our ambition. Your tasks in the net zero journey: Work together with cell (and SuperBattery) team engineers to design/improve/manage supercapacitor cellsCreate, manage and keep up to date the design documentation (models, drawings, documents, risk assessments)Create deliverables according to the development processCo-operation with industrial engineers on the stable manufacturing of the designReporting to and working together with mechanical engineering team on the design solutionsFind design solutions which can be used to hit product target requirementsBuild prototypes and perform testing to validate design solutionsInstruct and supervise the manufacturing of our products if neededCommunicate with component suppliers and procurement team to find suitable solutionsCo-operation with procurement team to ensure that design meets target cost. Requirements We don't expect to master it all. At Skeleton, you'll have the support of the team and we work together to achieve our goals. However, there are requirements you should be able to fulfill to succeed in this role: Successfully completed Bachelors or Masters' degree studies in mechanical engineering fieldAt least 5 of professional experience as a design engineerPrior experience with battery Cell design (preferably Cylindrical cells), or other relations with battery industryExperience with mass production, manufacturabilityWell experienced with SolidWorksVery good modelling skillsGreat at creating and reading technical drawingsUnderstanding of cell design and relevant electrical parameters for cell designCapability of using hand- and power toolsHigh proficiency in technical writingUnderstanding of quality tools (DFMEA, Significant characteristics, etc.)Have fluent English language skills, German would be a huge advantageBringing forward interpersonal skills of independency, resourcefulness, time management, internal driveAs a personality, you are open and keen communicator, can explain your thought process and able to bring forward new ideas but also receive constructive criticisism Benefits We're not just about energy storage.
