About / Careers Senior Software Engineer Remote Senior Software Engineer Keena Healthcare Technology is seeking a full-time, remote Senior Software Engineer (full stack). This position will begin as a 3-month temporary role that preferentially works a hybrid schedule between remote/in office and will convert to a permanent position for the candidate who demonstrates they are a productive, insightful, and cooperative member of the team. This role will support Keena’s core development team in maintaining, improving, and developing our suite of healthcare software applications. Work includes, but is not limited to, advising on and implementing performant, cost-effective, and secure software solutions for both clients and the company. Responsibilities The Software Engineer will be responsible for: Full stack development across a wide range of products and custom client applications, including web applications, console applications, and modules for a variety of EHRsSupporting existing projects and company products Required Skills And Experience The winning candidate will have the following skills and experience: 7+ years of development experience utilizing the .NET platformMastery of:C#SQLJavaScriptNETAD/MS Entra7+ years of experience working within Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio5+ years working in Azure DevOps or a similar platform5+ years of experience working across all stages of the SDLCExperience using Cursor.AI, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT in a professional software settingStrong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues and ideas to non-technical audiencesExperience programming with OWASP best practicesProven ability to work productively and cooperatively within a team environmentRecognition of the importance of security and discretion when working with sensitive dataExcellent time management skills Preferred (Plus) Qualifications Additionally, the following skills and experience are a plus: Experience in the healthcare industryKnowledge of EHRs, including Altera, NextGen, and EpicKnowledge of industry specifications, including EDI and HL7A BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar technical degree or certificationResidency in North Carolina or Florida and willingness to work on a hybrid schedule (2 days in office/3 days remote) initially Essential Abilities Additionally, the following skills and experience are a plus: Understanding design trade-offs and the ability to communicate reasoning clearlyWell-reasoned management of the balance between security, agility, and productivityEngagement with AI tools while maintaining ownership and accountabilityAbility to work independently and productively, and just as happily as part of a team About Keena Keena Healthcare Technology is a small company of committed and creative professionals devoted to optimizing healthcare through clinical workflows, interfaces, conversions, and archival solutions.
