Job Summary
Our client is seeking a DevOps/Software Engineer to join their team.
This is a contract role, local to Maryland Heights, MO and will serve in a primarily on-site capacity with flexibility.
The primary focus of this role is to provide AWS infrastructure support.
The team is looking to hire ASAP, so please reach out with your resume quickly! This is a 12 month contract position.
Core Responsibilities
Manage and support all aspects of the SDLC pipeline, including production deployments, environment refreshes, and ongoing operational supportAdminister and support change control throughout deliveryUtilize SDLC tools, including Git (Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab), Jenkins, and Artifactory, to manage code, automate builds, and orchestrate production deploymentsMonitor and respond to application performance, system health, and security vulnerabilities using tools such as Appdynamics, Splunk, Teradata Viewpoint, and AWS CloudWatchArchitect and implement scalable and reliable solutions within the AWS ecosystemTroubleshoot and manage connectivity / firewall requestsImplement and enforce server encryption, certifications, and patchesDevelop and support ETL processes and APIs, integrating various data sources and targetsWrite and optimize SQL queries for Teradata, MySQL, SQL Server, and Postgres by applying query performance tuning techniquesWork closely with cross-functional teams, including AWS and Teradata product management, cloud operations, and upstream boundary partnersManage and support IAM permissions and policiesRequired Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of professional software development experienceExpert-level knowledge of AWS infrastructure and architectureStrong background in software development lifecycle (SDLC) principlesExperience driving cloud-native initiativesThe resource will be given technical authority to provide guidance and recommendations on AWS infrastructure items, data engineering (ETL), CI/CD delivery, and system performanceWork Environment
Location: Maryland Heights, MissouriHybrid - 4 days onsiteCompensation & Benefits
Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $58.00.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate.
Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
