This is a Hybrid role at the client's Vancouver, WA office with 3 days onsite per 2 weeks.**
The role of the System Administrator is to provide operating system support in order to provide sustainable, stable and secure enterprise level servers including backup recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, permissions and file sharing.
The System Administrator installs, configures, and supports management approved local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
This role monitors the network to verify network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Position Responsibilities
Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.Load computer tapes and disks, and install software and printer paper or forms.Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.Monitor and test Web site performance to verify Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.Administer network security measures.Implement and integrate new system architecture into an existing environmentDeploy highly available technologies such as replication, load balancing, geographic clusteringInstall and configure server hardware including operating system and additional software to configure for optimal use.Identify standard monitoring requirements and scripting or applying additional setting requirements.Troubleshoot hardware and system level problems.Interpret architecture and design configurations from vendors or other teams to enable clear implementation standards and guidelines.Document implementation guidelines and installation guidance.

Education & Corresponding Experience
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a directly related field is preferred.8 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's or associate degree.10 years of experience is required without an applicable bachelor's or associate degree or no degree.Applicable Certifications may count for 1 year of experience.Experience must include direct work experience in information Technology performing System Administration.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
7 years of the following experience:Developing in C# leveraging the latest features of .NET 10 to build high-performance, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications.Designing and implementing RESTful API's using modern standards, including expertise in middleware, authentication/authorization protocols, and end-to-end API lifecycle management.Use TypeScript to maintain or build scalable applications capable of using at least one major frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).Strong adherence to Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and SOLID principles to create clean, scalable, and maintainable code.Expertise in designing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases.
This includes writing and optimizing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and strategically implementing indexes for performance.Experience with data access frameworks such as Entity Framework, NHibernate, or ADO.NET for database communication.Proficient in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and experience with tools like Bulk Copy Program (BCP) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data migration and integration from various sources (e.g., flat files, Excel, other systems).Proficient with Git and common branching strategies for collaborative development.Experience with implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and JenkinsExpertise in using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE for development, debugging, and testing.Familiarity with using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT) in Visual Studio to manage database schemas as code.Experience using Microsoft Office's large suite of applications, including specifically PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.Experience using SharePoint for enhanced document sharing and collaboration.Work in conjunction with other IT development professionals and support teams.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both peers and external customers.
