Description

Position: Senior SDET (Networking) Compensation: Competitive salary plus family benefits & variable Location: Dubai or Remote options Overview Gateworth Group is supporting an IT consultancy in the UAE that delivers engineering and automation solutions for clients operating in complex networking and infrastructure environments. They’re expanding their test automation capability and are hiring Senior SDETs who can architect large‑scale testing systems, work across advanced networking topologies, and lead best practices in automation. This role suits someone who enjoys deep technical work, understands datacenter and telco networking, and can build robust frameworks that validate both control‑plane and data‑plane behaviour. Main Responsibilities • Build scalable automated test frameworks designed for large networking environments and high‑traffic systems (Data Center & Telco preferred) • Create realistic simulation setups that mirror customer network designs, including EVPN fabrics and MPLS‑based architectures • Lead the CI/CD approach for continuous validation of network operating system releases • Develop and maintain Python‑based test suites using modern automation frameworks • Coach junior SDETs and QA engineers on coding standards, automation techniques, and framework design • Work closely with engineering leads to ensure test coverage supports upcoming features and roadmap priorities Qualifications • 6+ years of experience in automation engineering, ideally within networking or distributed systems • Strong Python and Bash skills, with experience building large, structured automation frameworks • Hands‑on experience with test frameworks such as pytest or nose, including scaling them across complex environments • Solid understanding of datacenter networking protocols such as BGP, EVPN, and MPLS • Experience working with CI/CD and automation tooling including Jenkins, Ansible, and Git‑based workflows Apply Applicants meeting this criterion and looking for a progressive and challenging opportunity should submit an application via the apply link.
