IT Infrastructure and Security Manager

IT Infrastructure & Security Manager 100% Remote We are seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to oversee the design, administration, and security of a cloud-first IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical role focused on AWS infrastructure, cloud security, and operational reliability. Approximately 80% of the role is infrastructure engineering and administration, with 20% dedicated to security, including vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, and security best practices. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and support AWS infrastructure and cloud services. Administer and optimize cloud environments, networking, storage, compute, and identity management. Support containerized and microservices-based applications. Implement and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda. Perform infrastructure monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and asset management. Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation efforts. Implement security controls, IAM policies, and cloud security best practices. Collaborate with development teams to support secure application deployments and CI/CD pipelines. Maintain documentation, infrastructure standards, and operational procedures. Required SkillsStrong experience administering AWS environments, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager. Experience supporting microservices architectures and cloud-native applications. Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and penetration testing. Experience with asset management, system lifecycle management, and infrastructure monitoring. Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and security best practices. Preferred SkillsExperience with AWS Organizations, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, WAF, or AWS Config. Experience with SIEM or endpoint security platforms. Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles. AWS and/or security certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, Security , CISSP, or similar).
