DevOps Lead (Platform Engineering)

DevOps Lead (Platform Engineering) We're looking for an experienced and strategic DevOps leader who is passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performing engineering platforms. You thrive at the intersection of leadership and technical excellence, with the ability to guide cross-functional infrastructure teams while driving automation, reliability, and developer efficiency. You enjoy creating standardized processes, enabling self-service platforms, and aligning technical initiatives with business objectives. With a strong background in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code, you're comfortable balancing long-term platform strategy with day-to-day operational excellence. Most importantly, you're a collaborative leader who can mentor teams, communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of DevOps, SecOps, and SysOps engineers.Own and manage the team's backlog, ensuring work is prioritized, estimated, and aligned with business objectives.Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Project leadership to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and delivery timelines.Build and evolve a self-service platform with reusable templates, automation, and standardized developer workflows.Define and monitor team KPIs and system SLOs to improve reliability, visibility, and operational performance.Partner with Product and business stakeholders to translate infrastructure investments and technical debt into clear business value.Create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, operational runbooks, and best practices.Ensure CI/CD pipelines and engineering tooling support fast, reliable, and efficient software delivery.Drive cloud infrastructure strategy, focusing on scalability, reliability, automation, and cost optimization.Champion Infrastructure as Code, security best practices, observability, and platform standardization across the organization. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.3+ years leading or managing DevOps or Infrastructure teams.Strong experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Advanced expertise with Kubernetes and container orchestration.Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.Experience building platform engineering solutions that improve developer productivity and production reliability.Proven ability to create technical roadmaps, capacity plans, and manage stakeholder expectations.Experience working within Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).Solid programming skills in Go, Python, or Groovy.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Exceptional written and spoken English.
