What You'll Be Working On
Developing high-performance C++ services supporting large-scale electronic trading platforms.Building distributed systems responsible for real-time risk controls, reference data, trade lifecycle management and critical platform services.Designing low-latency, fault-tolerant applications capable of handling high volumes of real-time data.Owning projects from architecture and design through implementation, deployment and production support.Improving platform resilience, scalability and operational reliability across business-critical systems.Collaborating closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams and trading stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.Driving engineering best practices through code reviews, automated testing, observability and continuous improvement.Modernising existing systems and replacing manual processes with scalable engineering solutions.Mentoring engineers and helping shape technical standards across the wider engineering organisation.
What We're Looking For
Strong commercial C++ development experience.Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, networking and operating systems.Experience building high-performance, low-latency or distributed systems.Strong Linux or Unix systems knowledge.Experience with Python or another scripting language.Experience delivering production software throughout the full software development lifecycle.Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.Experience with distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability or cloud-native tooling is advantageous.Understanding of relational databases and modern data platforms is beneficial.Previous experience within electronic trading or financial markets is advantageous but not essential.A collaborative mindset with a passion for building reliable, maintainable and scalable systems.
