About The Role
We're a fast-growing B2B SaaS company in the customer communication space, helping businesses of all sizes automate and streamline interactions across channels like WhatsApp, Instagram, and SMS — all from a single, AI-powered inbox.
With around 100 people on the team and Series A/B backing, we're building serious infrastructure and have strong traction across industries including insurance, e-commerce, automotive, and healthcare.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Berlin (hybrid).
You'll take full ownership of backend features end-to-end, influence long-term architecture decisions, and help shape the engineering culture as we scale.

What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScriptExperience with Quarkus or Spring Boot (or comparable JVM frameworks)Hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform for cloud infrastructure
Important to have:
Strong PostgreSQL experienceExperience with AI/LLM libraries such as LangGraphBackground building scalable backend systems for communications or messaging platformsSolid computer science fundamentals
Nice to have:
Familiarity with technologies like Kotlin, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS/SES, Lambda, or CloudFrontExperience with observability tooling (e.g.
Datadog, Sentry)Prior work at companies like Intercom, Front, Kustomer, Trengo, Bird, or similar omnichannel/customer communication platforms
