Cloud Consultant (Azure) - Contract Tasmania location or fully remote within AustraliaHealth TechPaying up to $1000 per day We're partnering with an established Australian organisation in the health sector that is embarking on a major cloud transformation. This is an opportunity to play a key role in building a modern Azure environment that will power a new customer-facing mobile application and web portal. You'll be involved from the ground up, helping shape the technical architecture, making key design decisions, and delivering a secure, scalable Azure platform. What you'll be working on Designing, building and maintaining Azure infrastructure across networking, compute, storage and identityBuilding a greenfield Azure environment to support digital productsLeading Azure migration and modernisation initiativesDeveloping Infrastructure as Code and automation to improve consistency and deployment efficiencyImplementing Azure security best practices including Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC and Defender for CloudCollaborating with architecture and technology leaders on cloud strategy and implementation What we're looking for Proven experience designing and implementing Azure infrastructure in enterprise environmentsExperience delivering cloud platforms for customer-facing applications such as mobile apps or web portalsStrong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security and governanceHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep preferred)Experience implementing Azure security controls including Entra ID, Conditional Access and Defender for CloudComfortable contributing to technical design sessions and making architectural decisionsAround 3-5+ years of Azure consulting or cloud engineering experience The opportunity Greenfield Azure buildLarge-scale digital transformationWork closely with the Head of Technology & SecurityHigh-impact project with modern cloud technologiesCompetitive day rate (dependent on experience) If you're an Azure consultant who enjoys building cloud platforms from the ground up rather than simply maintaining existing environments, I'd love to have a chat.
