Summary

A financial technology company is looking for an experienced Go backend engineer to build and maintain scalable applications for everyday financial management. The role involves designing architecture, delivering features end to end with product, QA, and DevOps teams, writing well-tested code, participating in human and AI-assisted code reviews, and supporting production systems. Strong Go, Git, AWS, PostgreSQL, and distributed-systems experience is required, along with fluent Russian and English. Experience in fintech or banking is expected, while Java, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and additional frontend or infrastructure technologies are advantageous.

Role Description This is a full-time Backend Engineer role at STB Union, offering flexible remote work arrangements. Candidates must have overlapping working hours with time zone GMT+3 for at least 6 hours daily. Required Qualifications - 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Go-lang Engineer - Experience with developing new features and architecture codebase - Strong proficiency in Go, Git (GitLab/GitHub) - Experience with AWS services (ECS/SQS/RDS), databases and data flows (PostgreSQL) - Fluent in Russian and English (both verbal and written communication) - Experience in fintech or banking sectors Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Java and Sping Boot - Experience with Vue.js - Experience with Linux and network administration - Experience with Kubernetes - Experience with more than one programming language Core Responsibilities - Developing and maintaining AI-driven Go-lang applications - Leading end-to-end feature delivery together with Product/QA/DevOps teams - Designing and implementing scalable solutions for complex business problems - Writing maintainable well-tested code with Claude Code - Participating in manual and AI code reviews and providing constructive feedback - Contributing to technical architecture decisions and system design - Collaborating with distributed team - Monitoring and maintaining production systems - Implementing best practices for security and performance Tech Stack: Java/SpringBoot/Vert.x, AWS (ECS, SQS/SNS, S3, ElastiCache), PostgreSQL, Terraform, GitLab, Docker, K8s, Grafana, Angular, React Native. Language Requirement Note: This position requires fluency in Russian and English due to team composition and business requirements.
