Top 3 skills needed for this role Proven multi-cloud engineeringAdvanced infrastructure automation expertiseStrong operational problem solving What this role is all about Were looking for a Digital Platforms Engineer to build, support and continuously improve the infrastructure powering Vitalitys digital applications. Youll work across cloud, on-premise and DevOps technologies, driving automation, resilience and scalability while playing a key role in platform upgrades and re-platforming initiatives. Key Actions Design, build and support resilient infrastructure and platform services across AWS, GCP and wider digital environments, ensuring they meet the availability, scalability and operational needs of enterprise applicationsAutomate the provisioning, configuration and management of infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve consistency, repeatability and deployment speedProvide day-to-day engineering support across development, test and production environments, balancing planned sprint commitments with incidents, service requests and wider operational prioritiesInvestigate and resolve complex platform and infrastructure issues involving Windows and Linux servers, databases, application servers, server scripting and supporting cloud servicesMaintain and improve the DevOps toolchain, including access management, platform upgrades, deployment tooling, monitoring capabilities and CI/CD services used by technical teamsManage essential platform components including certificates, API gateways, routing and reverse proxy configurations to maintain secure and reliable communication between applications and servicesCoordinate server and application patching across the digital environment, ensuring technologies remain secure, supported and aligned with cloud and infrastructure best practicesWork collaboratively with application development, network and infrastructure teams, alongside third-party service providers, to deliver platform changes and resolve cross-functional technical challengesIdentify opportunities to automate manual activities, strengthen existing processes and contribute practical technical insight to the future direction and roadmap of platform technologies What do you need to thrive? Proven experience building, supporting and troubleshooting highly available enterprise infrastructure and platformsHands-on experience with AWS, GCP or other major cloud platforms, alongside Windows and Linux environmentsStrong experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar Infrastructure as Code and automation toolsGood understanding of scalable and resilient engineering practices, including auto-scaling, automated failover and deployment strategiesExperience supporting DevOps toolchains and CI/CD, with exposure to container technologies such as Docker and KubernetesStrong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across technical teams, third-party providers and changing operational priorities So, whats in it for you?
