Role Description The Director of Ecommerce + Platform Management is a full-time, on-site role based in Warwick, RI. This role is responsible for leading the overall ecommerce strategy, managing online platforms, and optimizing digital sales channels to drive revenue and increase inventory turnover. Daily responsibilities include overseeing website merchandising, pricing, and promotions; analyzing performance data and customer behavior; and coordinating inventory flows between physical and digital channels. The director will manage relationships with ecommerce partners and vendors, ensure seamless platform integrations, and maintain an excellent online customer experience. This role also includes leading and developing a cross-functional team, collaborating with sales and operations, and implementing continuous improvements to support growth and efficiency. Qualifications Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Experience in E-business and E-Commerce, including platform management, online merchandising, and digital sales optimization.Background in Sales with proven ability to drive revenue, manage pricing strategies, and support commercial objectives.Demonstrated Team Management skills, including leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.Experience in retail, footwear, or inventory-focused businesses is highly beneficial.Proficiency with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, or similar), analytics tools, and CRM systems.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.You'll lead the catalogue team and work with our remote VA listing team. A wrong size, missing width or bad SKU means an oversell or a return, so accuracy matters as much as speed. ResponsibilitiesListings Get new inventory listed on every channel within 24–48 hours of receivingMake sure every listing has the right brand, model, style code, colorway, size, width and conditionWrite titles and descriptions that rank on each marketplace's searchManage product photos: shoot or source clean, consistent imagesCatalogue health Own the SKU structure and keep SKUs matching across Shopify and every channel, so syncs link correctlyFix blocked, suppressed or flagged listings fast (compliance, brand restrictions, missing info)Audit the catalogue regularly for duplicates, dead listings and wrong attributesPricing and growth Work with the owner on pricing rules per channelSpot sell-through opportunities and trending products; join marketplace promotions when they make senseTeam Lead the catalogue team and direct the remote VA listing team: assign work, review quality, trainBuild listing SOPs and checklists; track work in AsanaWork with the warehouse team on receiving handoffs and with buying on what's coming inHow success is measuredMetric Target Time from receiving to live listing 48 hours or less Listing accuracy (size, width, SKU, condition) 99%+ Returns caused by listing errors near zero Blocked or flagged listings fixed within 2 business days SKUs linked correctly across channels 100% of active inventory What you bringRequired 2+ years managing e-commerce listings or product catalogues, with at least 1 year leading peopleHands-on experience with Shopify plus at least two marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, Walmart or similar)Strong attention to detail: you catch a wrong size or style code before it goes liveComfortable with bulk uploads, CSVs and spreadsheetsExperience managing remote or offshore team membersNice to have Sneaker or apparel knowledge: style codes, sizing, widths, authentication basicsExperience with StockX, GOAT or Temu seller toolsMultichannel listing or sync tools (Ownbase, CedCommerce or similar)Product photography or basic photo editing
