Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services that power Konfidant’s encrypted sharing platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing systems, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with product and security teams to ensure robust end-to-end encryption and secure link management. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, improving performance, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective communication, ownership of deliverables, and adherence to secure coding best practices. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with experience building secure, scalable web services.Advanced Programming skills and hands-on expertise with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in one or more modern languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go).Experience designing and integrating security-focused features, such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Several years of professional software engineering experience; prior work on security, privacy, or infrastructure products is beneficial.Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
