The team works to connect business objectives with analytical frameworks, helping improve decision-making, product development, and operational performance. About the Role Temu is seeking a Data Engineer to join its team in a full-time remote role. You’ll work on data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipelines while helping business teams establish meaningful metrics and translate business needs into actionable data requirements. This role combines data engineering with business analysis. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, evaluate business processes, and develop data-driven recommendations that support strategic decisions and commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities •Establish a structured business metric framework aligned with the broader goals and priorities of business teams. •Analyze business processes to identify challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. •Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic business decisions, product development, and operational optimization. •Develop analytical frameworks that translate business objectives into measurable outcomes. •Convert business needs into clear data requirements and collaborate with relevant teams to implement solutions. •Work with data models, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines to support business reporting and analysis. •Partner with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders to improve data utilization and drive business impact. Required Qualifications •At least 1 year of data engineering experience. •Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. •Experience working with SQL. •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or another science or engineering discipline. •Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
