About The Role We are collaborating with Oracle to identify a highly skilled Senior Software Developer (IC3) to join the Oracle Health Platform Engineering team. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining core platform capabilities that enable Oracle Health teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available services. As part of this team, you will operate within an AI-first engineering culture, leveraging AI-assisted tools and techniques to accelerate development cycles, enhance code quality, and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, a passion for innovative engineering practices, and a commitment to delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. A minimum of three years of professional software development experience is required. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Go, or Python is essential, along with experience in building REST and/or gRPC services. Candidates should have a solid understanding of data storage solutions, including RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as foundational knowledge of distributed systems. Familiarity with modern engineering practices such as source control, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines is also necessary. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are highly valued. Responsibilities As a Senior Software Developer at Oracle, your responsibilities will include designing and implementing backend services and APIs used by Oracle Health product teams. You will be responsible for delivering features end-to-end, encompassing requirements clarification, technical design, development, automated testing, deployment, and operational support. Participating in code and design reviews, contributing to engineering best practices, and ensuring adherence to security and quality standards will be key aspects of your role. You will diagnose and resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations and incident response, and drive follow-up actions to prevent recurrence. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including SRE/Operations, Security, Product Management, and other engineering teams, is essential for successful project delivery. Additionally, you will produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks to facilitate smooth system operations.
