We’re looking for a Distribution Assets Engineer to join our team and help us make thoughtful, informed decisions about the future of our electricity distribution assets. This is a collaborative engineering role where you’ll use your technical knowledge, curiosity and problem-solving skills to understand how our assets are performing, identify opportunities for improvement and support investment decisions that deliver long-term value for our customers and communities. You’ll be part of a supportive team and work alongside people from across engineering, operations, design, construction and maintenance, giving you the opportunity to build your expertise while making a meaningful contribution to the network. Your Work Will Include Supporting the development and review of asset strategies and lifecycle management plansUsing data and engineering insights to better understand asset and network performanceDeveloping business cases that support considered, evidence-based investment decisionsContributing to short and longer-term asset, capital and operating plansExploring new technologies, systems and approaches that could improve network performanceHelping develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, policies and guidelinesAssessing plant, equipment and materials for use across the distribution networkSupporting investigations into asset failures and network performance issues, with a focus on learning and continuous improvementProviding practical engineering advice and support to colleagues and service partnersContributing to regulatory submissions, audits, safety and asset management activitiesWorking with asset information and systems including SAP, GIS and outage management systems to support analysis and decision-making About You You don’t need to have done everything on this list. We’re interested in hearing from people who bring a strong engineering foundation, a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in electricity networks and asset management.
