About The Role
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our remote Corporate Credit Card delivery team.
This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining cutting-edge technology solutions that support our credit card services, including risk underwriting, portfolio management, and merchant services.
As a leader within the team, you will oversee multiple SCRUM teams, guide technical strategy, and drive the successful delivery of enterprise-level systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development within large-scale enterprise environments, with a passion for mentoring teams and implementing innovative solutions.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a new custom-developed platform, emphasizing automated testing and modern development practices, all while collaborating with diverse stakeholders across technical and business domains.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in software application development and maintenance.Or High School Diploma or GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience.Intermediate to advanced experience designing or modifying microservice-based systems.Proficiency in Java 11+ and related frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.Strong understanding of design patterns including Factories, Command, Facade, and Adapter.Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA).Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, unit testing, mocking frameworks, and version control systems like Git.Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and collaborative documentation tools.Preferred experience with automation testing frameworks, React UI development, and CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab.
Responsibilities
Lead the research, design, and development of technical solutions within the domain, ensuring they meet functional, performance, scalability, and reliability standards.Partner with business stakeholders and architects to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.Manage and mentor multiple technical leads overseeing SCRUM teams, providing coaching, guidance, and escalation support.Drive initiatives to improve quality, delivery speed, and operational throughput across the development lifecycle.Oversee proactive maintenance and support of existing IaaS, SaaS, and on-premise applications within digital, cards, risk, and merchant services domains.Coordinate troubleshooting efforts to identify and resolve code defects, data inconsistencies, and configuration issues.Support the development and implementation of enterprise-level, real-time, and file-based integrations, optimizing database processing as needed.Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and departmental guidelines to ensure high-quality software delivery.Promote a developer-centric culture focused on creating elegant, secure, and well-documented codebases.Continuously seek opportunities for personal growth and foster a collaborative team environment that values innovation and excellence.
