About the Company At Juo, we're building software for businesses that want to build, run and scale their subscription offering. Business model-wise, Juo is a B2B SaaS. Our initial and current focus has been on direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands selling physical products, but our goal is to make Juo components applicable in any industry where a subscription model can be applied for selling things. Especially subscriptions containing physical products. The team is lean and consists only of very experienced people. We had built other successful businesses together. We’d built unsuccessful some too and learned a ton from that. We’re backed by fantastic investors (MOC, Peak, Kogito, SMOK) and advisors, including domain experts from companies such as PayU, Piwik PRO, and Your KAYA. We’ve raised our seed round in November. About the Role This role is perfect for an experienced, passionate developer who thrives on technical challenges and wants to make a lasting impact on our product. We're looking for a curious, collaborative, and pragmatic engineer who can balance innovation with practicality. You should be comfortable leading technical initiatives, making architectural decisions, and communicating complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll also mentor other engineers on the team. As a startup, we move fast and use a variety of tools, so adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential. It's not just about writing code—it's about delivering value on multiple fronts. You'll help shape our technical vision (collaborating with the CTO and the rest of the developers) and work closely with product and growth teams to keep Juo robust, scalable, and developer-friendly. Our flat structure means we value long-term thinkers who are driven by impact, not opportunism. We're as serious about building great products as we are about fostering strong relationships. Responsibilities Building a new major iteration of the product with high extensibility and great developer experience in mindDeveloping new features and iteratively improving existing onesFinding, investigating, and fixing bugs and performance issuesSupporting customers when the above occurs (customer-driven development)Discussing ideas, solutions and technologies with the teamProactively coming up with ideas for development and product improvements Qualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a product-focused environment.Strong proficiency with AI-assisted development toolsSolid command line / terminal fluencyBroad understanding of modern web technologies, standards, and their nuances.Hands-on experience with our core tech stack (listed below) or equivalent technologies.Comfort operating in a fast-paced, lean startup environment.Growth mindset with a proven ability to pick up new tools and frameworks quickly.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, comfortable discussing technical topics with product, support, and growth teams.Fluent Polish (written and spoken).Fluent English (C1 level). For reading, writing technical documentation, and clear communication.
