Following continued growth, they're looking to hire a Backend Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, cloud-native systems. The role: This is an opportunity to join a modern engineering environment where you'll be working on high-throughput platforms used by thousands of customers every day. You'll be helping to design, build, and scale backend services that sit at the heart of a rapidly evolving product suite. The team are looking for someone with strong Node.js and TypeScript experience who enjoys building reliable systems, solving complex technical challenges, and taking ownership from design through to production. You'll be involved in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and the ongoing evolution of a cloud-first microservices environment. Skills & experience we are looking for: 2–6 years of commercial backend engineering experienceStrong Node.js development experienceStrong TypeScript experienceAWS experience, ideally including Lambda and serverless architectures, or other cloud like Azure or GCPPostgreSQL or strong relational database experienceSports, sports betting, casinos, gaming, or high-transaction platform experienceExperience building and maintaining APIs and backend servicesUnderstanding of microservices architectureExperience with integration testing and delivering production-grade softwareStrong communication skills and collaborative mindsetExperience working in fast-paced product-led environments This role would suit somebody who enjoys ownership, likes working closely with product teams, and wants to be part of an engineering culture that values quality, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
