Job Summary
The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for complex mechanical and electromechanical products.
This role provides technical leadership to production operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports new product introductions, and resolves manufacturing challenges to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who is comfortable spending significant time on the production floor and collaborating across functions to improve manufacturing performance.
This position spends significant time on the manufacturing floor and is not focused on product design activities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support for production operations, assembly processes, and test activities.Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and production documentation.Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues.Support Design Engineering with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and transition of new products into production.Plan, execute, and analyze engineering tests to validate manufacturing processes, equipment, and product performance.Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Evaluate production metrics and perform data analysis to identify opportunities for process optimization.Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Design Engineering to resolve technical issues and support production schedules.Develop and support automated data collection, test methods, analysis tools, or scripts to improve manufacturing efficiency and process control.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline required.7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting mechanical or electromechanical products in a production environment.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical assemblies, tooling design, fixtures, GD&T, and engineering drawings.Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience developing and executing engineering tests, qualification plans, and process validations.Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing documentation.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and continuous improvement methodologies.Ability to create scripts and data analysis tools using Python, VBA, MATLAB, or similar languages is a plus.Experience with test equipment, automation, data acquisition systems, and statistical analysis is a plus.Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary Range
$96,600.00-$128,800.000
