Description

Get to join at the exact moment an investment firm decides to own its cloud platform in-house. A new Azure platform is being built, and you will be the one who gets engineering teams onto it. That means creating the repeatable patterns and application-stack templates that let developers deploy without starting from a blank page every time, and making sure every team ends up doing things the same, sensible way. Developers will feel the difference. CI/CD pipelines that work across every team, containers running reliably on AKS, and infrastructure that is automated rather than clicked together. When engineers start shipping faster, it will be because of what you built. You will make the platform visible. Logging, tracing, metrics, dashboards and alerting all sit with you, whether that means building the observability platform itself or wiring applications into it so problems get spotted before anyone has to ask. In a lean team, good ideas do not disappear into a backlog. You will be the go-to person for developers, juggling several projects and competing requests at once, so knowing what matters most and getting it done is as important as the technical work. This will suit you if you are hands-on with Azure, Docker and Kubernetes and have strong CI/CD and observability experience behind you. Terraform comes naturally, and scripting in Bash and Python is how you automate everything you touch. Deep software development skills are not the point here; being the engineer developers rely on is. What you have built matters far more here than the certificates on your profile. Location: 4 days a week on-site, Piccadilly Circus. Salary: £180k base with attractive bonus. If you have been waiting for the role where you finally get to build it your way, let’s talk. Get in touch. No up-to-date CV required.
