Buyer

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support procurement and sourcing activities for a global automotive company. This role requires deep expertise in purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations, with a strong understanding of automotive components and prototype parts. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex sourcing initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end purchasing and sourcing activities for automotive components and prototype partsDevelop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and cost targetsReview and interpret CAD drawings to support sourcing decisions and supplier discussionsNegotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectivesManage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolutionCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to support product developmentUtilize SAP for procurement processes, purchase orders, and supplier managementAnalyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsSupport prototype builds and production readiness through effective supplier coordination Required Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, and/or contract managementBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)Proficiency in SAP Ariba.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel as neededExperience in automotive procurement, including prototype parts, a strong plus.Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, a nice to have Location: Raymond, OH (onsite 4 days/week); first 6-months will require 5-days onsite.
