Description

About RADPAIR RADPAIR builds AI-powered radiology reporting software. We’re looking for an engineer with deep frontend expertise and the ability to work across the stack, who wants to understand how radiologists work and make their everyday tools better. In reporting software, small details matter. Where the cursor lands after dictation, whether an edit survives a connection drop, and how clearly a report’s status is shown all affect the experience. You’ll care about these details and understand the systems behind them. The Work Understand how radiologists dictate, edit, and finalize reports. Work with users and our Implementation & Support team to identify where reporting and navigation break their flow.Shape improvements with the team, align on tradeoffs, and own delivery across the interface and backend.Build a responsive, reliable dictation experience, from audio capture to live transcription, with careful attention to latency and recovery from interruptions.Get the details right: keyboard shortcuts and cursor behavior, editor interactions, responsiveness, and clear feedback that work is saved.Follow features through production. Investigate failures, protect patient data and report integrity, and use feedback to improve what you ship. Working with Coding Agents: We expect you to use coding agents thoughtfully to explore approaches, implement changes, and speed up testing and investigation. You remain responsible for understanding the code, checking assumptions, and verifying how it behaves in the real product. Strong fundamentals matter when reviewing generated changes, diagnosing failures, and deciding what should be built. We value improvements radiologists can rely on and code the team can maintain. What You Bring: Strong frontend engineering fundamentals, including React, JavaScript or TypeScript, browser behavior, asynchronous state, accessibility, and performance. You can build responsive real-time interfaces and reason about asynchronous data and connection failures. The ability to build and debug backend APIs and relational data models. You’re comfortable working in Python and SQL, or can demonstrate the depth needed to become productive in them.Experience taking a meaningful product improvement into production and learning from what happened next. You can explain the user problem, your decisions, and the result. An eye for interaction details and the judgment to prioritize them. You notice confusing behavior, ask why it exists, and balance polish with the urgency of the problem.Clear communication and a collaborative approach to decisions. You surface uncertainty early, explain tradeoffs, challenge assumptions respectfully, and help the team reach a shared direction.Curiosity about clinical work and the patience to learn it from users. You seek input when the consequences of a change depend on clinical context.Experience with rich-text editors, browser audio, speech workflows, or healthcare software is useful. Previous radiology experience is optional; learning the domain is an essential part of the role. What Success Looks Like: Radiologists encounter fewer interruptions while reporting, can move through the product confidently, and can trust that their work is preserved. Your changes hold up in production, and your teammates understand the reasoning behind them. You develop enough understanding of the workflow to identify worthwhile improvements yourself. Share Something You have Built: Tell us about a product or feature you took into real use. What did you learn from users? Which small detail changed your approach? What happened after release? If you used coding agents, explain how you directed their work and verified the result.
