About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Software Engineer I to join our Upfunnel team. This team is responsible for developing pre-checkout experiences that help shoppers understand Aff’s value proposition directly on merchant sites. As a Software Engineer I, you will play a crucial role in creating reliable, accessible, and high-performance frontend solutions across various platforms, including Aff.js, promotional messaging, experimentation modules, and developer-facing tooling. Your work will directly impact the user experience, ensuring that our customers and merchants receive seamless and engaging interactions before checkout, thereby driving engagement and conversion. Qualifications Previous work or internship experience in developing web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.Experience translating simple business problems into comprehensive software solutions involving multiple components.Ability to write clear, well-documented, and testable code that is easy to extend and maintain.Comfortable navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing constructive feedback during code reviews.Strong ownership mindset with proactive engagement in personal and team growth activities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supporting effective collaboration within a global engineering environment.Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is a plus. Responsibilities Build and enhance high-traffic frontend experiences across Aff.js, promotional messaging, experimentation, and developer-facing tools.Collaborate proactively with team members and stakeholders to align on project goals, share progress, and address potential risks or trade-offs.Maintain and improve the reliability, performance, and cross-browser compatibility of frontend applications.Utilize debugging tools, monitoring systems, and testing frameworks to ensure operational excellence and identify areas for improvement.Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Contribute to team growth through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and continuous learning activities.Balance speed and quality in delivering features, ensuring business objectives are met without compromising system stability.Engage in operational activities, including troubleshooting and resolving frontend issues promptly.
