DevOps Developer (AWS) Fully Remote Opportunity About BrightOrder We build technology that keeps fleets safer, smarter, and more profitable. The Role We're looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong DevOps and AWS experience to help build, automate, and scale BrightOrder's cloud-based platform. This role is ideal for someone who can contribute across the stack โ€” building backend services, APIs, integrations, internal tools, and frontend components โ€” while also supporting cloud infrastructure, deployments, monitoring, and automation. You'll write production-grade code, improve developer workflows, and help keep our systems fast, secure, reliable, and scalable. What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications, backend services, APIs, and internal toolsWrite clean, maintainable code using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Go (Golang)Build and enhance frontend or internal tooling using React.js or similar frameworksDevelop RESTful APIs, integrations, and service-to-service communicationBuild automation scripts and internal tools to improve deployments, monitoring, and troubleshootingDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable releasesConfigure and manage AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudWatchOptimize and maintain databases, including PostgreSQL and Amazon AuroraUse RabbitMQ or similar tools for inter-service communicationContainerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKSUse infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationBuild and maintain monitoring, logging, alerts, dashboards, and observability practices using tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to improve system reliability, performance visibility, and troubleshootingCollaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and development teams to deliver secure, scalable releasesUse tools such as Jira Service Management/Jira Service Desk to support issue tracking, escalation workflows, production support, and cross-functional communication with QA, Customer Support, and Development teamsSupport production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system reliability improvementsUse AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub, Copilot, or similar platforms to support development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting Requirements Must-Have Experience 5+ years of professional software development experience in a full stack, backend, DevOps, or cloud systems roleStrong proficiency with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.js or another modern frontend frameworkSolid experience designing and building backend services, RESTful APIs, integrations, and service-based systemsIntermediate hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, EC2, S3, and CloudWatchExperience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflowsStrong database experience across relational and non-relational systems, including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDBFamiliarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, microservices, serverless architectures, GraphQL, real-time messaging, or similar distributed system technologiesExperience with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or GrafanaUnderstanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, application security, cloud security best practices, security reviews, and vulnerability managementExperience building tools or solutions for developers, operations, QA, customer support, or other internal users, including exposure to Jira Service Management/Jira Service Desk workflowsExposure to SaaS, fleet management, logistics, telematics, IoT, or connected device ecosystemsDemonstrated use of AI-powered development tools for coding, documentation, testing, reviewing, and troubleshooting What Success Looks Like Success in this role means you can contribute across the technical stack while improving the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our cloud systems.
