Senior / Staff Software Engineer – AI Products A fantastic opportunity for a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join an innovative AI software company building products that help businesses understand their customers and make better decisions. Working across an AI-powered research platform, you will take ownership of major features from initial concept through to production. This role would suit a full-stack engineer with strong product instincts who enjoys solving complex problems, building intuitive user experiences and working within a fast-moving engineering team. Location: New York, NY. In-office, five days per week. Relocation packages may be available for exceptional candidates. Salary: $200,000–$300,000 annual base salary + equity Requirements for Senior / Staff Software Engineer: Strong professional experience in full-stack or product engineering, with a particular strength in frontend development and user experienceExperience working within an early-stage startup, ideally a fast-growing business with high engineering standardsPreviously owned the development of a significant product, feature or platform from initial concept through to productionBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline with substantial Computer Science coursework, from a leading universityA strong track record of achievement, demonstrated through significant product impact, rapid progression, founding experience, coding competitions or recognition for technical workAbility to take ownership, make decisions and deliver within an environment with evolving requirementsComfortable contributing across frontend and backend developmentStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with product and design teamsAble to work from the New York office five days per weekStrong React and TypeScript skills are beneficialExperience building B2B software, working with Python or Go, or developing LLM-powered applications is beneficial Responsibilities for Senior / Staff Software Engineer: Design and develop features for an AI-powered platform, taking ownership from initial requirements through to releaseBuild tools that help users analyze information, explore findings and interact with insights through conversational interfacesDevelop functionality that supports participant recruitment and self-service research workflowsWork closely with product and design teams to create intuitive user experiencesContribute to backend services, APIs and distributed systems that support the platformHelp connect LLM-powered functionality with reliable application services and user interfacesContribute to shared design systems and improve consistency across the productSolve technical challenges across the stack and improve platform performance, reliability and usability What this role offers: The opportunity to build AI-powered products that help businesses turn customer feedback into actionable decisionsEnd-to-end ownership of substantial features, working closely with a highly skilled engineering, product and design teamA competitive base salary and equity opportunity, with technically challenging work across AI functionality and full-stack development Applications: If you would like to apply for this unique Software Engineering role, please submit your resume through the relevant application link!
