About the Role: BigID's Services team is central to how our customers succeed — we own the setup, integration, and deployment of BigID's discovery tools for customers and implementation partners. As a Services Delivery Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of that experience: translating customer requirements into working solutions, troubleshooting deployment issues at their root cause, and partnering with Engineering and Product to make every future rollout smoother than the last. Who we seek: BigID is growing quickly, and we are expanding our Services team and seeking a Professional Services Engineer in the EST time zone. The services team plays an important role in the successful setup, integration, and deployment of BigID's discovery tools for our customers and implementation partners. This position also works to identify the root cause of any deployment issues and works with the larger team to help resolve them to ensure the success of the customer. What you’ll do: Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand technical requirements and align them to business objectivesPlan and lead implementation engagements — deploying solution components and configuring the product to meet each client's specific environmentCollaborate across internal teams and client organizations to ensure smooth rollout and successful integration of BigID solutionsDeliver technical training tailored to the audience, from hands-on admins to executive stakeholdersIdentify root causes of deployment issues and drive them to resolutionWork closely with Engineering and Product Management to document field issues, enhancement requests, and opportunities to improve the implementation processWhat you’ll bring: 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, ideally in product implementation or hands-on deployment within enterprise environmentsSolid troubleshooting and operational knowledge across some combination of: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, DevOps, Big Data/Analytics, Security, and Application DevelopmentProven experience across the full solution lifecycle: problem identification, system architecture, hardware/software specification and design, implementation, testing, client training, and deploymentA proactive mindset — you look around corners for both internal and customer challenges before they become blockersHands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes deploymentsWorking knowledge of one or more databases: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or IBM DB2Experience with a major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformExperience working with REST APIsProgramming or scripting proficiency in Java or PythonNice to have: Familiarity with Hadoop (Hive/Spark)Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Privacy, and/or Data Security Posture Management tools.Prior SaaS implementation experienceOur Values: We look for people who embody our values - Care, Do, Try & Shine. The annual base salary range is $105,000 – $135,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
