Job Summary And Qualifications Position Summary The primary purpose of the position is to provide technical expertise for developing new and existing software products within Integration Services at HCA. This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and implement solutions with little supervision in a Lean/Agile Development environment. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter and must be committed to delivering high-quality solutions within agreed-upon timelines. Manage projects through inception, development, testing, and implementation with the help of other assigned resources. Using various tools: Elixir, JavaScript/HTML framework or LiveView SPA, Postgres, Docker and deployment tools Completing Unit Testing and participating in Peer/Code Reviews of other developers work Providing advanced troubleshooting user support working with end users at all levels of the organization Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred 7+ years of experience in Information Technology required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors: People Management Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with personnel at all levels of the enterprise in a cooperative and effective manner A team player who enjoys helping new team members onboard, mentoring, and teaching others A strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to leadership and designers Technical Skills: Must have Elixir/Erlang proficiency HL7/Interoperability: Deep understanding of HL7 message segments (PID, OBX, MSH) and FHIR resources. Integrations Experience including Kafka, REST APIs and MLLP experience. Cloud Data: Experience with cloud-services including Cloud SQL, Object Storage, Compute, etc. Professional Competencies: Consultative Approach: Ability to explain the "trade-off" between data security and data utility to non-technical stakeholders. Analytical Problem Solving: Capable of troubleshooting complex data quality issues that arise from masking logic. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH Act, 21st Century Cures Act, and HITRUST frameworks. Other Skills: Results-oriented with an eye towards business results as the objective Demonstrates an empathetic and growth mindset with a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and methodologies Proven ability to complete work, make sound decisions, plan and accomplish goals with direction / guidance from leadership Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Willingness to contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture Requires ability to provide after-hours support.
